My name is Ian Trethewey and I am from Whanganui.

I have always worked in accounting in Wellington, Tonga, the Bay of Islands and in Whanganui.

Over the last 10 years I have been Chief Operating Officer for Whanganui Collegiate a state integrated school and most recently the Kaiwhakahaere Putea (General Manager Finance) for Ngā Tāngata Tiaki o Whanganui, a post settlement governance entity working for the benefit of uri in the rohe.

Outside of work I like to work on our section, such as building a deck and putting in various gardens.

I have also been bike packing parts of the Te Araroa Trail with friends and most recently the Alps 2 Ocean cycle trail covering 300km.
